This year's Race for Hope 5k Walk / Run in DC will take place Sunday, May 5th. We'll be taking part for a second year to honor my amazing mother, Beverly, who died in 2017 after battling an aggressive, inoperable astrocytoma brain tumor. Last year our small but mighty team raised $3,375. Being able to take part in such an inspiring event was priceless. We're setting our sights even higher this year -- hoping to raise even more money for brain tumor research and recruit a few more walkers/racers to join us.
The annual fundraiser supports the National Brain Tumor Society and ABC² (Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure), two non-profits leading the way in innovative brain cancer research to ultimately find a cure. Please help support our team -- Beverly's Brainiacs -- as we join forces with thousands of runners and walkers to raise money in the fight against brain tumors.
If you're unable to walk or run with us in May, perhaps you'll consider making a donation to this worthy cause, cheering us on along the route, or simply just send positive thoughts for beautiful weather on race day.
Thanks in advance for your support,
