In 2017, Sterling participated with family and friends in the Race for Hope, a 5K walk/run, to raise funds to support research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families.
Last year, we organized a team in Sterling's name to honor Sterling and help raise funds in support of this important cause. More than 25 family and friends participated in the race that day and even more gave money in support, surpassing our team goal of raising $2,000.
Sterling was diagnosed with glioblastoma – a rare form of brain cancer – on October 13, 2016. His brave and remarkable journey ended on November 27, 2017.
Join us again as we remember Sterling at the Race for Hope on May 5 in Washington, DC, and help raise money for this important cause. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
