Lawton's Loving Lineup
After a stroke in December 2015 and a seizure in February 2016, Johnnie was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, a very aggressive brain cancer. Following surgery in February 2016 which removed 80% of the tumor, he had six weeks of daily chemo and radiation and then in May was able to start treatment with the Optune (the funny cap of electrical arrays you have seen him wear). He also continued with additional chemo one week per month for 12 months. MRIs since starting the Optune have shown no growth in the tumor even now three years later! Research dollars makes innovations like this Optune possible.
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cushman & Wakefield raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
Beyond the medical advances, it is the love and support of family and friends that continue to sustain us!
Thanks for all the LOVE! Please join our lineup!
