Race for Hope Philadelphia

Allison's NumbSkulls

I was diagnosed 8 years ago with an aggressive and malignant glioma. I don't know why I'm still here, but I am so grateful. While I have enjoyed good health, too many other people have passed away. I'm working hard at staying well, and fighting for a cure. I've even gone to Washington, DC to lobby Congress.

The Defeat GBM Initiative, spearheaded by the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS), is making ground-breaking progress toward finding a cure. Research collaboration by world-renowned medical teams with proven track records in cancer research will eventually improve patient survival. The goal is to double average survival, which is currently only 14 months. I am profoundly grateful to those working on this important initiative.

Since 2009, I have participated in the Race for HOPE- PA. Over the past 8 years my team, Allison’s NumbSkulls, has raised over $250,000 to support the Race For HOPE to find a cure for brain tumors. This year I hope to raise $25,000 to be donated directly to the National Brain Tumor Society. Your donation of any amount toward my goal is so appreciated. Also, you can join our team, Allison’s NumbSkulls, and fundraise from your family, friends and colleagues for this worthy cause. Please walk or run the 5K with us and 7,000 people at Navy Yard in Philadelphia on October 7th.

If you'd like to sponsor me, please send me a check made payable to NBTS or donate online at http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/goto/AllisonBishof2017 All donations are tax deductible, and your generosity will play a role in the efforts to find a cure for this dreadful disease.

Thank you so much for your support. I will think of you proudly as I cross the finish line on Saturday, October 7 – I hope to see you there!
