Kathy's Krusaders

As many of you know, my immediate family is currently affected by this issue. My mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor in July 2016. She completed brain radiation in fall 2016. Also during the summer she developed trigeminal neuralgia, a chronic facial pain disorder.

A follow-up scan in early 2017 revealed a parotoid tumor. Upon its removal in March 2017, we learned that my mom has metasticized non-small cell neuro-endicrine cancer. She completed chemo in August 2017.

So while we hate the fact that she has a brain tumor, and we hate that she has trigeminial neuraligia, and we especially hate that she has cancer, we are thankful that the brain tumor allowed us to find the cancer before it spread further and before she has any "cancer symptoms" (cough, shortness of breath, etc.).

We'll be walking/running to raise awareness and much-needed resources to fund life-saving brain tumor research and improve the quality of life of all those affected by brain tumors. I would love to have you join our family and/or make a donation if you are able and feel so inclined.

THANK YOU, on behalf of my family and so many others.

Jodi, Mark, Kristen, and Kevin
