Tom Marches On
This year marks the 7th anniversary of the team 'Tom Marches On' in memory of Tom Hazelwood.
For those who do not know, Tom was diagnosed on October 2010, with brain cancer (Gliosarcoma, a rare form of a Glioblastoma Multiforme.) He fought a hard and courageous battle but unforuantely on May 29, 2011 he passed away. Not a day goes by that we don't think of him and his amazing smile. We formed this team, 'Tom Marches On' to honor him. Tom was an avid runner and was training to run the Philadelphia Marathon. After his diagnosis, we had the dream of running this race together and now we run it for him.
Last year we had over 50 people, walk, run and celebrate with us. And we would like to exceed that number this year. The Race For Hope is a fun and inspirational day where the brain tumor community unites to inspire hope and take action in the fight against brain cancer. Progress in this fight starts with one team, one person and one dollar at a time.
Please join us on Saturday, October 7th, 2017. Note that is a Saturday and at the new location, The Navy Yard. I look forward to seeing each one of you.
