Friends and family,
Four years ago, our sister, who was nicknamed Jenny Penny at a young age, was diagnosed with an Oligodendroglioma, a brain tumor. This is something that is every one's worst nightmare. A healthy, thirty year old, who was suddenly having life threatening symptoms, to be diagnosed with a life taking disease. Jen underwent neurosurgery…….who knew that it would be a blessing to be a candidate for neurosurgery! Many brain tumors are considered inoperable but in this case Jen's was operable! As we quickly celebrated the fact the tumor was mostly gone, we were placed back into reality that it was only gone for now.
These tumors are never completely gone, and Jen faces a lifetime of monitoring and treatment. The strides made in the last 10 years have enabled "Penny" to be with us, and we believe the strides made in the next several years will provide treatments that will improve the prognosis and minimize the side effects.
Please join our team and walk with us. By donating you are helping her fight this battle. Every "Penny" donated can make a difference in finding the cure, and helping our Jenny Penny be with us longer.
