Race for Hope Philadelphia

Chest Nutz

Welcome to The Team Chest Nutz Team page!

Formed in 2010, Team Chest Nutz has been pounding the pavement for the past 6 years marking this year as our 7th Race for Hope. We walk in Memory Of Joe Chest who lost his battle in June 2011. We not only walk in Joe's memory, but also for those who are still fighting their battle and for those who are celebrating their victory. Join us October 2nd for the 11th Annual Race for Hope Philadelphia, we'd love to have you as part of our team!

Joe was very active in his community and church, he was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend. Joe was just a regular guy who liked regular guy things...The Philadelphia Flyers, cars, poker, video games, gadgets...etc. Born in Juniata, raised in Port Richmond and settled down in Bridesburg. He went to North then off to Pennco where he studied auto mechanics which lead him to a career right across the street from his former high school at Gegnas Chrysler.  Married for almost 25 years to his first love and is the father to two of the best kids you'll ever meet.

Joe was living a regular life just like most of us when on a random day in June he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Less than 1 year later his life was stolen by this awful disease on his 48th birthday.

Cancer is unbiased and can come knocking on anyones door at any time, together we can work at raising funds to find a cure and hopefully destroy this awful beast .

Thank you for your continued support.
