Oligo No Mo
I am once again calling on family and friends to come out and join me as I participate in the annual event to raise awareness for the fight against brain tumors. This year we celebrate the TENTH anniversary of ONM on Saturday October 7th at 10am. I still can't believe it's been ten years since I set the alarm too many hours back waking up the Fordham Rams who were kind enough to come into Philadelphia two hours earlier than necessary!!
Last year the Brain Tumor Society was kind enough to move the race from early November to early October and from 7am to 10am (so no more DLS issues) and from Kelly Drive to the Navy Yard (no bone chilling winds off the Schuylkill.) All positive changes outside of the bottleneck into the Navy Yard. From the looks of directions on the website this year, that issue should be cleared up.
The last ten years have presented many challenges but I have been so blessed to have family and friends that stood beside me with unfailing love and support to help me keep fighting and stay in the race. I will continue to blow away the statistics!!
Every Fall, as grateful as I am to be participating in the race, as I look around I am reminded that I am not invincible and we are also there to remember and celebrate those with stories much less fortunate than my own.
I want to thank all of you have who have either walked or ran or donated to support our team, the NBTS’s continued research efforts and other survivors.
Hope to see you on the 7th!!!
