Friends and Family,
As many of you are aware, AP Masons annually joins forces with important health associations to raise awareness about crucial health issues. This year we are walking with the National Brain Tumor Society in honor of one of our own. Unfortunately, we recently learned of a diagnosis within our family, so we are taking action. We have chosen to join the Race for Hope, uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors.
More than any other cancer, brain tumors can have lasting and life-altering physical, cognitive, and psychological impacts on a patient’s life. This means malignant brain tumors can often be described as equal parts neurological disease and deadly cancer. Even non-malignant brain tumor s can be deadly if they interfere with portions of the brain responsible for vital bodily functions.
Today, nearly 700,000 people in the United States are living with a primary brain tumor, and approximately 78,000 more will be diagnosed in 2017. Brain tumors can be deadly, significantly impact quality of life, and change everything for a patient and their loved ones. They do not discriminate, inflicting men, women, and children of all races and ethnicities.
As a team, we are asking for your support. There are three ways you can get involved:
1. Join the team. It’s a great day! We supply customized T-shirts for the team and host a celebratory lunch following the event. We’d love to have you join us! If you can’t be there on Walk Day, you can also register as a Virtual Walker and still be a contributing member of our team!
2. Make a donation. By making a donation, you will be helping make a difference for generations to come. Please help us reach this lifesaving goal by supporting our team today. We are proud to offer a special expression of our gratitude to the most generous supporter.
3. Sponsor our team! With a minimum donation of $100, your company, family, etc. name/logo will be represented on the team’s T-shirts.
When we bring together dedicated team members and kind donors, the power we have as a group far outweighs what any of us could do alone. Make the commitment with us. Click to join our team. Help us make a difference for generations to come. We can be reached at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-970-7225.
