Always For Kate
Please join team ALWAYS FOR KATE as we walk/run in loving memory of our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, teammate, neighbor, friend KATIE BEDNAREK. Katie was a 19 year old young lady who was diagnosed with a DIPG brain stem tumor on Sept 18, 2013 at the start of her senior year of High School. She passed away on Feb 11, 2015 after a graceful, inspiring and brave 17 month battle with brain cancer. Katie NEVER gave up HOPE and lived each day for the next. Katie participated in 2 Race for Hope events and asked that we continue participation in her memory. Please come together with friends, family, neighbors, Lockheed Martin co-workers, and Cherokee Highschool friends to honor the Brave Beautiful Brilliant spirit that Katie shared with all of us.
We are committed to find successful treatments and a cure for Brain Tumors. Race day is a terrific celebration honoring those who have lost their battle and for those that are still fighting.
Please help us by donating so that we can make a difference and help find a cure for Brain Cancer, so that another young person or their family and friends will never have to experience what Katie endured.
Make a donation and / or join our team. GO TEAM ALWAYS FOR KATE!!!!!
