Hope Brings Strength
Team Hope Brings Strength will once again participate in the National Brain Tumor Society, Race for Hope, to raise awareness and money for those impacted by brain tumors.
"Hope Brings Strength" began as a family motto six and a half years ago, when Bobby, a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin and a good friend to many was diagnosed with a large mass on the left side of his brain; a diffuse, Grade 2 astrocytoma near the language center of the brain. Bobby was 17 years old and a senior in high school with his whole life ahead of him. At that time, Bobby was told not to plan for college and just focus on "today". But today, Bobby is doing well; he graduated in May from Villanova University with his Masters in Clinical Counseling. Bobby is using his experiences as a survivor and a fighter to help others find peace and harmony in their own lives. He is meant to make a difference in this world!
Team Hope Brings Strength has raised over $45,000 over the past three years. As a family, we have been blessed to have family and friends that stand beside us as Bobby continues to fight this dreadful disease and as he continues to inspire others. Thank you to all those who have either walked or ran or donated on behalf of Bobby and Hope Brings Strength which will help give hope to those who continue to fight and to show solidarity to all those that have lost their fight.
Bobby's tumor still exists, and unfortunately it has changed and so more surgery is necessary; we will NOT rest until there is a cure. The National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join me as Hope Brings Strength runs the Race for Hope 2018! Thank you for your support!
WE are uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. WE are passionate about this cause, so WE are taking action. WE need your help in this fight. Please join in my effort!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research and advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
