As most of you know, my Aunt Vicki was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme in December 2012. She has been an example of a true fighter and has tried to conquer this battle throughout the months by going through radiation and chemotherapy. She is an inspirational person not only because of her bravery, but also due to her perseverance and willingness to try anything. More importantly, her never lose HOPE attitude has radiated from the beginning of her journey. As with any battle, there have been a couple bumps in the road. The fact that she is a SURVIVOR proves that something is working. I can speak for the team when I say that last year’s event was a success and we enjoyed participating in it together. So, Team Vicki’s Brainiacs is back again!
I want to thank all the participants, donors, and everyone who has shown your support throughout this entire journey. I know my aunt appreciates your thoughts and prayers, as do all of us who know and love her.
If you’re able to donate, participate or even join us on the day of the race as our cheerleaders, we would really love to share the experience with you. Thanks again for all the support.
