We are proud to be participating (with growing numbers) in our third year Race for Hope-DC. Our life journey with a brain tumor began in October 2010. Ellen Pruden, our team captain, was diagnosed with a pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma at the age of 20. After two major brain surgeries, we are happy to report that her prognosis is very good. She will continue to be monitored for any further growth or changes for this rare and benign tumor. All who know her have been inspired by her strength, determination, and continuing faith. We are honored to be part of a team that wants to help provide hope in the fight against brain tumors. You can help too! To donate online, click on a team member in the roster box found at the bottom of this page, then click on the “donate” button on their page. Better yet, come join our team. You can help with fundraising and join us in Washington DC to participate in this amazing race. This has become one of the most rewarding and incredible experiences of our lives. The race is Sunday, May 4th. Thank you for helping our cause and create “hope” for many who share this same journey.
