TEAM SCARLETT

Welcome to Scarlett's team page! Thank you for participating in our journey toward further research and hope for those affected by brain tumors.  Our daughter Scarlett was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, choroid plexus carcinoma, with no warning.  She was a healthy, thriving, bright, loving 16 month old who showed no signs of any neurological distress, then one evening she had a seizure at bedtime and was undergoing brain surgery within days.  The tumor was successfully removed and she began 6 months of intensive, inpatient chemotherapy at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  She remained high spirited, strong, and even welcomed a little brother four weeks into treatment.  She currently has MRI scans every three months to monitor her tumor site and continues to be the bravest girl we know despite some pretty challenging hurdles to jump as such a young girl.  She is now a thriving two year old with a spirit like no other!  She continues to encourage and amaze us all.  Any contribution would be much appreciated, and as always, we cannot say thank you enough for the continued prayers, support and love sent from our amazing network of friends and family.  Go Scarlett!
