Thank you for visiting our Team Dana page and supporting our efforts to raise awareness for brain tumor patients and their families.
We look forward to running our third annual Race for Hope on May 5 in Washington DC, in honor of our beautiful mom/meemaw who was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage IV on April 16th, 2010. She fought a courageous battle against the terminal tumor, consisting of two brain surgeries, 3 different types of chemo treatments and six weeks of daily radiation. On Feb 28th 2011, she lost her battle at the age of 65. During those 10 months, our family spent countless hours researching support services for brain tumor patients and sadly, there was very little help due to the lack of funding for this specific type of cancer. Our goal is to raise awareness of Glioblastomas and as with all cancers, our hope is that one day, they will find a cure!
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and support services for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
