NCI Intiative Prioritizes Pediatric Brain Tumors Up to $5 million of the National Cancer Institute’s additional funding from the economic stimulus package may be used to expand the TARGET Initiative to identify molecular targets for selected pediatric cancers. NBTS is grateful that brain tumors have been identified as an additional area of NCI’s TARGET Initiative.
TARGET funding applications are due June 12, 2009. Please share this opportunity with other researchers in the pediatric brain tumor field.

Connecting with Others At our spring events across the country, we've seen patients, survivors, and caregivers make meaningful connections with one another. But you don't have to meet in person to connect with others who have been through similar experiences. Our online message boards open up "conversations' to you no matter where you are, and our Peer Suport Network can help you make a one-on-one connection online or by phone.
Important Changes to Financial Assistance National Brain Tumor Society will no longer be offering direct financial assistance as of May 26, 2009. In light of this change, we are pleased to announce that two national non-profits will continue our efforts in offering financial assistance for brain tumor patients:
